Acne on the face is one thing, “backne” is very similar. It usually occurs because skin is oily.

Try an over-the-counter product containing salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide such as Neutrogena Clear Pore Treatment on your face and body. Friction from tight clothing can also contribute to acne on the back or buttocks. We recommend wearing loose-fitting cotton clothing when exercising. Remove the sweaty clothing as soon as possible and shower as soon after your workout as you can. Also, wash your back well after using hair conditioner because the greasy traces can clog pores. If you’re still having problems, come in and talk about it. There are treatments available and we can help. We want to prevent scarring of your skin.
